Mechanical Services

Auto Truck Service Co. offers full-service mechanical repairs. From oil changes to major mechanical repairs, our technicians have the training and knowledge to complete repairs on all makes and models. Scheduled appointments are recommended for the fastest service, but walk-in appointments are always welcome. We encourage our customers to contact us at any time throughout the duration of the repairs.

Body Repair

Auto Truck Service Co. provides auto body repair and collision repair services on all makes and models. We work with all insurance companies and can help assist with any questions regarding the claims process. Our collision center has the equipment and knowledge to restore any vehicle to its pre-existing condition guaranteed. Auto body repair estimates are provided during business hours by appointment only and will be reviewed with the customer by the estimator at the time of inspection.

Our History

Auto Truck Service Co. was established in 1951 by James Tabata and was at the time known as Grant Street Service. James took great pride in his company and continued to expand his services and clientele base. His workload soon outgrew the working capacity at Grant Street, which made relocation to Nicollet Mall a necessary move. As James proceeded in his years as a business owner, he made the decision to offer a one-stop automotive service center. This would allow him to continue his mechanical and fleet services with the addition of being able to offer complete auto body repair. James made his final move to the company’s current location on Central Avenue and renamed his business Auto Truck Service Company. Today Auto Truck Service Co. is owned and operated by Jim’s family.
